CHAPLAINCY MINISTRIES

  1. School Chaplaincy:
  • La Salle Chaplaincy – Although POLA has religious involved in school apostolate, it was only upon the invitation of La Salle University that it ventured into school ministry: First, as a satellite community under the Provincialate Community, then as a separate community. Currently the Lasallian Community is composed of four members in the chaplaincy of four La Salle schools here in Manila.
  • Catholic Campus Ministry – Sta. Cruz Parish caters to students of one university and three colleges. Fr. Marlon Reyes is currently in charge of this ministry. This campus ministry has been in existence for a number of years now in Sta. Cruz Parish. It is actually one of the earliest in the Archdiocese of Manila.
  • School Apostolate –Though not a chaplaincy, but there are public and private schools within the territory of our parishes where we regularly give catechism, hear confession and celebrate Mass. d. Learning Center –It has now been more than forty years since the parish of Sta. Cruz took over this apostolate from the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The Center currently holds 4 classes with around 20 students in each class.

  1. Religious Chaplaincy – Fr. Conrad Goulet is the chaplain to the Brothers of Charity in Tabaco City.
  2. Lay Chaplaincy – Fr. Choy Ramos is a chaplain for couples in Marriage Encounter and Fr. Allen Peňa, for the Apostles of the Eucharist and the Judith Community. In our different parishes and even in our new mission station we are “chaplains” to many lay organizations.
