NIHIL OBSTAT:

Firstly, right after the 2014 Provincial Chapter, I sent the duly signed chapter documents mentioned in GS 82.05/1 to the General Council through Fr. Bong. Then I sent a letter of request for the nihil obstat in view of publishing the Acts of the Chapter. Today, December 11, I received an e-mail granting the nihil obstat. The General Council has given approval of the documents, thus nothing stands in the way of publishing the Acts of the 2014 Provincial Chapter, which we will be happy to do so.

CANONICAL ERECTION – MAPANDAN COMMUNITY:

Secondly, as mandated by the 2014 Chapter, we made a request to the General Council for the canonical erection of the Mapandan Mission Station in Barangay Torres, Mapandan, Pangasinan.  Attached to the letter were a number of documents required by GS 90.01, 90.02, 90.03 and 90.04. Today, I also received the Decree of Canonical Erection of the House of Mapandan from the General Council.
