This was the first pastoral community founded not in a city by the Sacramentinos (although few years after, Tabaco has been declared a city). TheMost Rev. Jose C. Sorra, D.D., Bishop of Legazpi, formally welcomed the Sacramentinos at the Holy Family Shrine, which has Quasi-Parish status, on February 4, 1999. Under the Sacramentinos, the quasi-parish thrived, thus Bishop Sorra decided to revert it back to its former status of a territorial parish as it had existed in 1970-1973. Fr. Arnel Martinez was its first Sacramentino parish priest. Over the years, there were plenty of Sacramentino Priests and Brothers who have been assigned and served in this pastoral community. In fact, developments have been very evident both on the side of the parishioners’ participation in parish life (BECs have been organized) and on the physical development – parish structures have been improved. The most recent, through the leadership of Fr Junvic Diolata as the parish priest from 2011-2017, with the help of Fr Melchor Castaneda, Fr Conrad Goulet, Fr Froilan Briones, Br Rey Acabado and the whole parishioners, friends and benefactors, the parish building, adoration chapel and the rectory were all renovated. On August 22, 2016, the Holy Family Parish Church was Blessed and Dedicated by His Excellency Most Reverend Joel Z. Baylon, DD, Bishop of the Diocese of Legazpi.
