Amplified Provincial Council, October 22, 2015
The third day of the APC meeting started at 8:15 in the morning with an opening song/prayer So Loved by God led by Fr. Victor Diolata, SSS, the presider for the day. The copies of the Minutes of the Meeting of the previous day were readily distributed by the Secretariat early on before the session started. Immediately, Fr. Rey proposed the same principle to take up in view with the treatment of the Minutes of the Meeting: (1) to dispense the time for reading the Minutes, (2) to consider it approved, and (3) the Secretariat to attend immediate follow-up corrections. The body unanimously agreed to this proposal.
- Fr. Roel raised three specific concerns: (1) Accountability and responsibility among religious especially involved in the works of finances; (2) Compliance to BIR New Policies and Requirements; (3) Seeking for Professional Assistance of Lay People on Bookkeeping (this is especially important in the case of a Religious who has no background to the nature of the work).
- With regards to Local Community Project which cost exceeds P50,000 – a proposal was raised that in such case, there is a need to properly coordinate the project to the council for approval.
- Concerning Monthly Religious Allowance, a standardization of it was proposed.
- Concerning Vacation allowances of the Religious, the body wished to likewise establish a standard amount.
- Fr. Joseph started his presentation of the first project proposal: Construction of a New Provincial Building. (cf. p 76 of the APC Document for the content of the proposal).
- On Maximization of Novitiate Property (cf. 75 and appendix 9, p. 116 of the APC Document for the content of the Proposal).
- Discontinuity of the Sacramentino Village Housing Project and be replaced with an alternative project that will equally benefit the poor.
- Household Waste Management as an alternative project to the Sacramentino Village Housing Project.
Fr. Joseph before formally closing the last day of APC meeting, expressed his gratitude to all Pastors and Superiors who joined in the APC, and also to the Secretariat.
