I just would like to send the following information that I believe you need to be aware of:

1. Since Fr Mike has a greater access to the CBCP Permanent Council, I requested him to do the coordination regarding our sponsored meal for the Bishops in their MidYear Plenary in July. Our plan to sponsor their Dinner  on July 9 is no longer possible due to other sponsors who have already taken that slot. Our chance will be their lunch on the same date, July 9 and this is already arranged with the Secretary General of the CBCP
. The Secretariat will be the one to arrange the meal with the Restorante de la Mitre – we just have to pay the restaurant afterwards.

   In line with this, Fr Mike is suggesting if we can prepare a very very short program whenever it is possible for the Bishops, say asking our Scholastics to render one or two songs and perhaps a little of enlightening or elucidating our bishops more about our Founder and our Congregation – of course this is still subject to our approval and if the plenary schedule permits.

   Also, Fr Mike is suggesting if we can also arrange a dinner exclusive for the Bishops with whom we are having our presence – to be sked before or after the plenary here at the POLA. However, this can also be done 30 minutes or so before the mass on August 15, 2017 at Sta Cruz Church. 

2. I already reminded our pastors and those who are concerned about our upcoming first National Event, the BSVC / Parish Youth National Convention at the BSN. Other preparations on this matter are underway care of the in-charge, Fr Marlon Reyes. 

3. Layout soft copy of the Banner for the 60th Foundation Anniversary has already been forwarded (downloadable) to our Pastors/Superiors for them to print it locally for facility and practical purposes. Layout for the Banners for the May 12-14, Aug 12, Aug 15 events is in the pipeline, care of Fr Allen.

4. The Anniversary T-Shirts, color coded per region, will be printed beginning this April and it will be available soon. Some of our communities have opted to make orders from us, from Manila  that is why we are printing 200/pieces per color. In case there is a need to print more, we just have to be ready for it. The capital for each Shirt is 128.00. Fr Roel and myself have decided to sell it at 185.00 – for the obvious reason that we can also raise a bit of profit to help defray our expenses for this anniversary. ( There is an exception for the BSVC/Youth Participants to the National Convention – they will just pay 120.00/shirt). Once the printing is done, it will be available at POLA, STA CRUZ, and those parishes/communities who would want to avail it. Inform us immediately. People are free to buy other colors aside from the color assigned to their region. But, once they join the National Gathering, e.g., Convention, Congress and Culminating event – they are advised to wear their regional color.

5. Negotiation with Manila Grand Opera Hotel as venue for lunch for the August 15 culminating event is underway – care of Fr Roel.  Dinner on Aug 12, National Eucharistic Congress will be served at Sta Cruz.

6. The 100 pieces of Special 60th POLA Anniversary Stoles will be ready for pick up by the end of June. We are planning to give it as souvenir for Bishops and Priests who will concelebrate with us on August 15, 2017. By the way, the Sta Cruz Community is suggesting if we can move the time earlier instead of holding the occasion at 10, they suggest make it 9am. Yet we just have to stick at 10am. It won’t be a long celebration anyway.

7. N.B. We will be asking registration fee for the National Eucharistic Congress. Its a minimal amount to cover their snacks and some materials.
