Vocals02 Track 203 Track 3 Grateful Are We
As mentioned in the flyer/brochure for the POLA 60th Foundation Anniversary which was released in the latter part of 2016 – the Anniversary Committee has finally lived up to its commitment to come up with the anniversary theme song. This song is entitled “Grateful Are We” – written, composed and arranged by Rev. Fr. Marc Bryan Adona, SSS, one of our newest ordained priests. We wish to share this with our communities that’s why we have uploaded it, the minus one, to our website. We made it downloadable for the benefit of those who would like to copy, study and learn and then use the music in the occasion they may see it fit. Below is the Lyrics of the Song.
Like wheat, before it is bread
We are seeds in the hands of the sower.
Sown throughout the land
We are turned selflessly yielding grain
Humbly we are taken, blessed, broken, shared bread we are sown.
Called to service of the hungers of humanity
GRATEFUL ARE WE TO SING
THE SPIRIT OF OUR HISTORY
SHAPING ONE BODY THROUGH THE BANQUET’S CALL FOR UNITY
FAITHFULLY, LOVINGLY WE BRING
THE FACE OF CHRIST IN THE LIFE OF OUR MINISTRY
GOD BE THE GLORY NOW WE SING OUR JUBILEE!
Like wheat, before it is bread
We are seeds in the hands of the sower.
Sown throughout the land
We are turned selflessly yielding grain
Humbly we are taken, blessed, broken, shared bread we are sown.
Called to service of the hungers of humanity
GOD BE THE GLORY NOW WE SING OUR JUBILEE!
GRATEFUL ARE WE TO SING
THE SPIRIT OF OUR HISTORY
SHAPING ONE BODY THROUGH THE BANQUET’S CALL FOR UNITY
FAITHFULLY, LOVINGLY WE BRING
THE FACE OF CHRIST IN THE LIFE OF OUR MINISTRY
GOD BE THE GLORY NOW WE SING OUR JUBILEE!
O God we are grateful!, Grateful are WE!
